The Best Books to get your Creative Juices Flowing

I often times get questions from other people about what inspires me.  I think like most creatives, I'm inspired by a lot of things, but most namely the visual world.  I find travel, food, textiles, films, and books to be inspiring.

I have found that it is really important that I keep good books on hand that provide lots of visual spark for me.

Here is a list of books I have bought or are on my wish list.

Classic Style: Hand It Down, Dress It Up, Wear It Out by Kate Scheleter

One Man's Folly: The Exceptional Houses of Furlow Gatewood by Julia Reed

Beautiful: All-American Decorating and Timeless Style by Mark D. Sikes

Parish-Hadley Tree of Life: An Intimate History of the Legendary Design Firm by Brian J. McCarthy

Basquiat by Marc Mayer

Wolf Kahn: Pastels by Wolf Kahn

Matisse/Diebenkorn by Janet Bishop

Georgia O'Keeffe: Living Modern by Wanda M. Corn

Iris Apfel: Accidental Icon by Iris Apfel (this one is not yet out, but I will be ordering it up!)

If you have favorite go-tos, I would love to hear them: please share your thoughts below! Happy Reading, and may it spark your creativity.
